Mitt i Livet: June 2011

we are finally here ! We have been waiting forever to get here ! feels wonderful to be with family and friends again on this side of the globe !
the trip went better then expected, only Jake had a bit of trouble sleeping and kept me awake too but not too bad.
Mormor picked us up from the airport, which is brand new and looks great now compared to the old airport. we drove home to Limassol and both kidds dropped off to sleep in the car after a little while. Once we got to mormor's house we had lunch, showered and hit the beach ! LOVELY !! not too hot and not too many people.
That night we didn't sleep to well as the whole room was chockablock with mozzies and poor little Jakey woke up around 1 am , covered in about 20-30 bites !! luckily we had bought super good anti itch cream from dubai to use in Sweden so I dug it out and slathered him all over !
The day after we finally caught up with Anki, Sofia and Gabriella ! The kids hardley said hello to each other, they just took off playing ! it was like it only was last week they saw each other instead of nearly 2½ years !! It was fantastic to see! It made me so happy how well they got on so quickly !
we went to ladys mile beach where they had a floating blow up bouncy playground which kept the 4 kids busy from moring til late afternoon when we went home due to exhaustion and jetlag.
On the saturday we went to beach with Anki and girls again and had another day of fun fun fun in the sun and the sand. That night we went to Zygi to fish restaurant with Nico's son and his family, and it didn't take long for the stepcousins to get over the language barrier and play all night long. It was wonderful to see my "step brother" and his wife Maria again and to see how Naya and Andrea has grown up since last time we saw them.
On sunday we hit the beach again and had more fun and in the afternoon we went to the swedish school end of year party and the kids met up with Ilia who they knew from last time. It's amazing to see how fast they have picked up the Swedish language again and manage to talk to the other Swedish kids with out too much hassle.
Yesterday we took it easy in the morning and did homework from school and then went shopping in the afternoon at Debenhams and Marks and Spencer.... very nice !
Today we went to Galatex beach and in the afternoon we went to " my mall" and the kids went ice skating ! They looked a bit worried in the beginning but clever kids as they are, it didn't take long before they were enoying themselves anormously albeit on wobbly legs....
Now I am exhausted and about to hit the sack !
